Tarzan, R.I.P.D. & Mr. Hyde

Anticipation builds for what promises to be one of the biggest films of 2013, R.I.P.D., based on Dark Horse's classic graphic novel, but R.I.P.D. isn't the only film in the works from the largest independent comics publisher. As announced last week in Variety, Dark Horse Entertainment is producing a Warner Bros. film adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs's Tarzan, directed by David Yates, who previously directed four films in the Harry Potter franchise. There is already some early buzz about casting, and this is shaping up to be one of the company's biggest films yet!

Additionally, 2011's Dark Horse graphic novel The Strange Case of Mr. Hyde is in development with Skydance Productions and the Mark Gordon Company, with Dark Horse Entertainment producing. Yesterday, TheWrap reported that screenwriter Albert Torres will be handling the writing duties on the upcoming picture.

Stay tuned for further developments on these and other Dark Horse characters and story lines coming soon to a theater near you!
